Evidence of this does not lie in your request, which I understand, even if I don't share the concern. Evidence of your true intent lies in your reaction. No one has gotten "really up tight". One of two got mildly perturbed. Most just said, and I concur, that it isn't important to them. I believe you are seeking to create an issue where there is none. And your tactic is transparent.
