To Charlie: Er, my guess is, the third verse was a later add-on. It isn't included in most versions I've heard. Similar to "The Preacher and the Bear", perhaps, where Randy Sparks added the ending and punchline that seemed so logically indicated. I've been racking my brains to come up with an alternative version that similarly fleshes out and completes the latter song without trespassing on anyone's copyright.
