You may not remember me; I don't post often and I'm a few ripples out from the inner circle of groupies, but I did sing at your bedside a few years back on a visit with Fred & Julia.

Today's my birthday, and Maine is awash in a depressing rush of rain-that-should-be-snow. My farm truck is stuck in the mud in a driveway that should be hard-frozen. Nonetheless, I'm happy. Rain is better than snow for your drive home, and I'm thrilled that that's where you're headed. I consider the news a birthday present, of sorts.
