Thread Name: BS: societal impacts of provocative dress
Subject: RE: BS: societal impacts of provocative dress
I think there are quite a few and I think there are various comorbidities that go along with it...if it is done in a California I am on the beach surfer girl way, probably less so, but if it is done with a certain edge, then yes.

I think one of the main problems is the disturbance it causes to men, certainly those who have trouble with impulse control and are on the edges of society for various reasons, but also those who are trying to be true to marriage vows, relationships, religious dogma etc. Do I think we have to respect that? Yes, morally. Not legally probably.

It can inspire a rage in men who know that people are displaying themselves and they, the men, have no chance whatsoever at some of these women. People pretty much know where they stand in the pecking order. There are various religious and racial and other taboos that people still practice. These men are hurt by this female behavior. Should they just get over it? OK, sure. On the bus, or in a government office? No. They should not be provoked. I would not go out of my way to a nude beach and complain about nudists. But when I do not have an alternative, and these people are using public money in some way, they should dress and behave in order not to ruffle feathers. mg
