BK, sorry to hear about your Wandie. No, they do not live long enough, though my son's cat, Morticia, is still going along at 21. He's had her through so much; he was only nineteen and on his own when he got her. She's been with him through everything imaginable. She has no teeth, is tiny, thin from age, not for lack of food...she gets all the tins of fishie she wants. She easily jumps on the kitchen counter, knocking over glasses of water because she wants to drink it from there not from her dish. She is a piece of work; regularly kicks the younger, big male's bum when they play. It will difficult when she goes.
