Yes I know it is in Saddleworth and not Greater Manchester but I've not seen a mention of the delightful Grotton Hotel where Brian Knowles ran a club in the late sixties. We used to go there religiously as under-age drinkers. Thanks to that introduction coupled with Baz Reade's 'Top House' club at Dobcross I've had to cope with being a folkie for over 40 years.
