It's OK VT - that incident happened two years ago at another hospital. I've made sure that Maine Med is well aware of what noise levels do to Kendall's stress ratings. Right now he is slightly deaf - most likely catarrh in the Eustachian Tubes - so can manage any noise that may be around.

The good news is that, when I went in this morning, he looked about 200% better than yesterday. They had fed him a sleeping pill and Benylin and he had a good night's sleep for the first time in about two weeks. He had finished with one lot of antibiotics, has only one more shot of one of the others and they may finish the third one orally, rather than by IV. They are starting him on blood thinners, as they are still concerned that his heart rate is a bit too fast, but, if he continues to improve the way he has he should be allowed out late tomorrow, or, failing that, Thursday.

He has been up and walking around the ward, which is excellent, and just looks so much brighter. We finally got the laptop connected to the internet (thank you Jess!) so he has had that to play with today.

Right now we're planning on lobster for dinner when they let him loose - he deserves that!
