One other thing to mention:
Pete and all of us were there in LaCrosse for that Great River Folk Festival that is mentioned a bunch in this thread. At one evening concert, we all found ourselves on stage with Pete. For me, it was the first time I'd done that---and I was blown away by the experience. As usual, I had my camera hanging around my neck, and I couldn't let the moment pass without snapping a photo of the man.
