What am I missing here? Would you expect a profit centered organization to produce for the eclectic few or the deep pocketed masses? Is that evil? I don't think so. Look at network television and tell me why PBS has to beg for money to produce folk/jazz/opera/ballet/Shakespeare etc.? Because there is no money in it. Why is prime time radio and TV mainly crap? Because that's what the buying public wants and the stations are in business to make money. Evil? Waste maybe.

If you want to change it, don't buy the products sponsoring the crap and let the manufacturers know that you are not buying. Fight them on their own terms.
