Thanks to MCP JohninKansas et al I have found the event viewer in Control Panel/Admin tools.

I checked and there was no event logged that looked like it was taken down because of heat safety.

Many thanks to all who helped and are still helping. I am finding out lots that I just didn't know.

You lot are just great.
