Anyone remember the Church Inn in Prestwich? I seem to think the organiser was George Purcell, and they had some great residents such as Barry Oates, Graham Walker, Pete ? and John Cartain, who went on to form Redmayne.

Barry Oates wrote some great songs such as "Mild and Bitter Days" which I think was actually about the Church Inn. Anyone know what happened to him?
