Leaving the voice aside, I started on lagerphone and progressed to anglo, on which I can make a nuisance of myself in several genres. In Flying Pieman I was frequently observed doing various imitations on mouth organs (OK, "harmonicas") and single row melodeons, which I like for their fruitiness but they take up a bit of room in the car. The bandoneons have a similar fruitiness and handle like the anglo (in one case) and a piano (in the other) but they take up even more room in the car.

I've inherited a 5 string banjo and a fiddle, so I'll probably annoy people with those in a while. The daughters have made good use of the flute, piano and recorders I had acquired over the years and are now rather good; much better on them than I could ever be.
