It is very difficult to explain why a round works and when is it a 2, 3 or 4 part round.
The easiest thing for me to say is if you can write a song that is played with only one cord and the length of each line has the same number of beats you have a candidate for a round. The rounds I will be teaching are:
Music alone shall live
O how lovely is the evening
. Have you seen the ghost of John
And a four part round I wrote:
