Just thought I would refresh this and see if there were any more canal-side (or near canal) folk events going on.

Regular events :

The Real Music Club in Willington, Derbyshire, is right next to the Trent & Mersey Canal. It's every Thursday evening in the Green Man or Rising Sun.

Skipton Folk Club is on every Monday (including August - we never close) in the Narrow Boat Inn.

The Packet Inn, Retford, Bridge 57 on the Chesterfield Canal, has a music & song session on the 2nd Thursday of every month. Tie up right next to the pub & microbrewery.

Arthur Wakefield's Folk Club, Dog and Partridge, Bollington (Macclesfield Canal) every Friday.

Audlem Bagpipe and Hurdy Gurdy Festival is on a Saturday every November.

The Shroppie Fly at Audlem on the Shropshire Union also has a very friendly session every Monday.

Last Friday of the month at the Dusty Miller Wrenbury attracts the same crowd and more, some go there early for a meal (you might need to book). First Thursday of month in Nantwich is moving to the Rifleman. All start around 8.30 (or whenever). Also last Friday of the month, The Shady Oak session, Tiverton, Nr. Beeston, Cheshire, 2nd Saturday of the month

No responsibility is accepted for any errors I'll try to add to this as I discover more. Your help will be invaluable.
