Welsh folk music is something I've been wondering about for a while. There are thousands of English, Scottish and Irish folk songs in circulation but comparatively few Welsh ones. Yet the "Welsh identity" claims a strong singing tradition. Are they hiding their songs from us or is that tradition mainly restricted to large choral works?
