JBG was at the Mechanics' Institute in November 1861, along with Miss Birchall (Serio-Comic).

In 1875:

"Mr. Sam Torr is nightly appearing with the greatest success at the Mechanics', Hull.
Agent, Charles Roberts.
London, Boxing Night.
New songs in preparation by J.B.Geoghegan, Esq"
