i am reaslly tired of the resurgent racism against israel. yeah they have abuses but they also nhave rule of law. palistinians within israel and in the occupied territories can use the israeli courts to redress abuse like re routing the wall. feminists in palistine can go to israel as refugees as can gays and lesbians. they have civil and human rights there.

there are no minority rights of any kind within palistine. they have persecuted their own christian minority so that once over a third they have been driven out so that they no longer are over twenty percent in any area.

people do not apply the same standards against israel as they do against the neighbouring states where there is no kind of human or civil rights protection.

moreover remember there have always been jews in israel!!! they are there in greater numbers now in a war situation where they are required to do things on a war footing. yes they have abuses but judging israel by separate standards than you judge the neighbouring states is racism. i despair at the rise of this racism on the left--it has bankrupted the legitimacty of the left in many countries ovewr issues that are too complex and none of most of those countries business.
