Guest: you have been aggressive and confrontational towards me since your first post on this thread. If you think that is the way to effectively persuade people to your point of view, I'm afraid you're mistaken. If it makes you feel clever to think you've "rattled my cage", knock yourself out. Life's too short.

Sal, I don't know who "offered" you 15% from our "committee", but we have one person dealing with catering and she is the only person who had the authority to make any sort of offer on behalf of the festival. We are not run by "committee". You may find "a sniff of disorganisation" off-putting, but many festivals would also find traders who regularly slag them off in public forums (because this is not the first time) equally off-putting. If you are not happy with the terms you were offered, that is unfortunate.

I have come into this thread on several occasions to try to be helpful and answer questions, but I think it's time I stepped back to focus on doping what I do best, which is programming the festival. Have I mentioned that ticket sales are up by 21% this year? Hurrah! So there are clearly a few people out there who are looking forward to coming along. We have lots of brand new caterers this year who will be offering a great range of food and drink to festival-goers across all of our sites, and lots of exciting new events for them to enjoy.

For those of you coming to Sidmouth - see you there! For those of you who aren't, enjoy whatever you'll be doing instead.

Bye!
