I prefer wines that are low in sugar, low in acid, and high in tannins. Very dry but not sour.

Then again my youngest son uses "sour" when something is bitter. I wonder if he can't taste the difference. Never bothered to do a differentiation taste-test with him; doesn't really handicap him any, except when he looks foolish on a web-based discussion. <:D
