Thread Name: Lyr Req: They Call the Wind Maria
Subject: Tune Add: THEY CALL THE WIND MARIA
This is an important song for us here in Sacramento, since it's the best known song from the only musical ever to have been set in Sacramento. Therefore, it gets me really ticked off when people sing it wrong. The first couplet stays down, and it's the second couplet where the tune goes up. So, here's the tune. Maybe we can talk Dick into including it in the database so people might possibly learn to sing it right and give Sacramento the respect it deserves.
