What maeve said. Most of us have been there, and all of us were probably too hard on ourselves at first. But as we have learned (and researchers have learned) what is good for babies, we breathe a sigh of relief that we ignored the "let them cry" advice when they were just too little for it to be a meaningful exercise.

I'm exhausted. I reworked a document, saved, sent a PDF to the boss, and now I'm off to bed. My son fixed himself French toast for a very late breakfast today, and somehow managed to leave the burner on high and carbonize the bottom side of his meal. I was out of bread after those slices, so he couldn't redo it. He cut off the worst of it, and probably filled up on something else later when I took him over to his Dad's house. My house still smells smoky (I guess we're lucky he didn't set off the smoke alarm. I was out in the garden for a few minutes and so I don't know what he was doing that he didn't notice his meal burning).

Catch you all tomorrow!
