Yeah, I think I'd agree it's best to stay out of the desert in the summertime. I've worked a lot of desert areas in summer. It's doable, but not pleasant. Still, I had a wonderful time in El Centro one July, dancing to conjunto music with a beautiful woman and drinking big schooners of beer with salt and peppered lime.
Something about the heat and the sweat and the beer and the dancing....
