I'm glad to finally know the history of "I know a place". I sang it from '76 to'78 at Pine Creek Girl Scout Camp in Shoup, Idaho. My mom Pat was our troop leader and another lady named Debbie taught us the song. Funny to think it had been around for nearly 20 years before I ever heard it and it fit Pine Creek so perfectly. We were some lucky girls to have such a beautiful place to camp. Thanks for reminding me of the second verse too. I remember that I learned what a "ravine" was from that song. I was only 6!!!
