One small branch of the NAACP in Georgia had the original tape when the story broke. They recorded it for their own records.Your comment is how stories get twisted. You make it appear that the **national** NAACP knew all about this. What the hell is wrong with just agreeing for once that some of your favorite right-wing talkers went WAY out on a limb and thus, given the nervous climate, tempted administration officials to rush to judgement? Shame on those officials for being careless...but FOX was the instigator!!!

I can agree that Fox didn't do the editing, but STILL be appalled that FOX gave it wide airplay by 4-5 different commentators without checking.
CNN just made clear that THEY had the story Monday before noon, but decided they 'might' run it Tuesday because they needed time to properly check it out first!
