Amen, Bobert. And you are so right about the echo chamber and the misleading 10-sec. video clips.

Rig, what Fox News "had to do with it" was running with the edited video and the distorted story, full bore, in the day or so when it first hit the blogosphere. Yes, the other "mainstream media" ran the story, unscrutinized, too, but Fox gave it far more coverage than the others did.

Oh, and I think your accusations against ACORN need a lot more specificity and substantiation.   (Even if a few workers in this large organization were shown to have misbehaved — and I'm not aware that's the case — since when does a large organization lose its credibility and funding because of something like that? Do we condemn a whole police department because of some rogue cop?   Is a huge private corporation destroyed because some middle manager embezzles funds? Where's the evidence that ACORN, as an organization, was corrupt?

As for the speculation that Obama's administration "set the whole thing up for the purpose of trying to make "race" relevant again, in time for the mid-term elections," HUH???   With blacks being less than 15% of the population and an even lower % of the VOTING populace, how would a focus on race benefit a mixed-race candidate?

TIA , you're so right that Faux News bears "absolute responsibility for creating the current political atmosphere - in which simply the threat of Faux running the video (and then pushing it relentlessly and uncritically (of the video) -- just as they did with Acorn--) creates a huge PR problem despite the total dishonesty of the video" and that this "is enough to force the Whitehouse to (despicably) cave-in to their blackmail."

This is all about Faux news. Breitbart may have made the video, but who was poised to make it their anti-Obama, anti-black people smear story of the month?

Bobert, you are so right about the echo chamber and the misleading 10-sec. video clips.
