You might like to know a little bit about "Jack Orion." It's not traditional in the strictest sense nor is it Irish.

I was in a band The Flying Cloud in the mid 1970s. We put it was on our Adelphi LP. The late A.L. Lloyd, one of the real mainstays of the modern folk revival in Britain rewrote an old Child ballad (i.e. The English & Scottish Popular Ballads) named Glasgerion, listed as #67 in Child, and turned it into "Jack Orion." It's a great piece of music. I hope you enjoy it.
