Hey, GfS, I don't deny that all these folks were democrats... Ya' gotta remember that most of yer Southern elected folks back then were DEMOCRATS... The fact is that the Democratic Party was for a long time a purdy redneck party in the South until the Civil Righta Act and the subseguent "Southern Strategy" when the parties flip-flopped... Lyndon Johnson even predicted that the Civil Rights Act would kill the Democratic party off in the South for decades... He was right...

So I will never ever defend those rednecks becasue they were DEMOCRATS... They were as wrongheaded as FOX and the TEA Party is today...
