Anyway, I am, delighted to discover, Sir Booke, that your impression of my life is so rich, so filled with adventure, and so woefully mistaken; but I prefer to come to the realizationthat, all these many years, we have been each battling a false representation of the other, and that all your derogation has been aimed at some other Amos!! This brings me great relief, as I no longer have to worry about your various defamations; it is now clear they were all aimed at someone else, with a similar name. This also enables me to rescind all my vcarious insults, as they were clearly prompted by a serious misunderstanding and a bad case of identia malprendida, which I understand is reaching near-epidemic proportions in Idaho.
