One of the interesting dimensions of "so called german american" folk music here is that most of the bands at least those in the east can play polkas and sing in polish.

They have a harder time with german.....

Polish won the war......perhaps thats it.

But nothing as goofy as going to an oktoberfest in Maryland or Pa and having to listen to mainly polish music.

Nothing wrong with Polish my fathers family were from poland.
