Max - you want old? The Black Lion pub in Plaistow where we'll be on 2nd Sept, is mentioned in the Doomesday Book - that's a whole 400 years before Columbus failed to turn left at Albuquerque! OK, so the present building is only from the 16th Century (that's the 1500's) but it's still pretty impressive!
