I guess I'm behind. The new month's thread took me by surprise. August turned out to be one of Michigan's 10 driest months ever, but we finally got some rain last night. I took a ride out to several garden centers in the area (two were new to me) looking for some bargains, but didn't buy much. The good perennials weren't on sale yet, but I did by some daffadil bulbs.

This weekend is going to be crazy. Our little suburb (north of Detroit) is hosting Arts-Beats-Eats over the weekend. Huge crowds are expected, and this so soon after the Woodward Dream Cruise. I'm a mile from downtown, and even our street is designated for "permit parking only". If I go, I'll have to walk, unless I can find somebody near downtown that'll let me park in their driveway.
