Ah but Guest heric the BBC did not get the facts "So wrong" did they? Your Department of Homeland Security did

Points of Difference:

1. It is not a "rig" it is a seven well Production PLATFORM, i.e. it (the structure) stands on the seabed.

2. The Platform was shut down for maintenance hence risk of "oil, or condensate spill" is virtually nil
