To the best of my knowledge (and some research) a Kitty Tyrell song was written by Thomas Furlong. Music was composed by the well known harpist Turlough O'Carolan. Kitty Tyrell lived near Mohill, Co Leitrim, Ireland as did Turlough O'Carolan when he married Mary Maguire from Fermanagh.
