I started this thread thinking " Lord Of The Rings " was my favorite and it still is ONE of my favorites, but "Lonesome Dove" is right up there. Maybe my favorite fictional character ever in "Gus McRae" Others that I keep re-reading, " Shogun" by James Clavell, The "Clan of the Cavebear" series is pretty good , too.
