A young man of 24 doused himself with gasoline and set himself on fire a week ago in Portland - Longfellow Square. Two of my co-workers witnessed it. Since then this spiritual has been going through my head.
I am trying to leave it all here. Say a prayer for David Parker who is in a burn center in Boston and for all the people whose lives have been permanently changed by sharing in his grief.

I have been trying to declutter this since it happened, I am not sure why I can't let go of it. I suffer from depression and understand how a person can wonder whether a can of gasoline and a match will actually cause feeling. I can't understand how anyone so young could be in such despair.
