Andrea, here in Texas I've seen properties where the renters want satellite but aren't apparently able to attach the dish. The compromise has been to mix a 5 gallon bucket full of concrete and plant a post in it. That weighs enough that when the bucket is placed so the dish on the post is exposed to the southern sky it is stable. Perhaps a bucket like this can be placed on the property and a cable run to the house.
