Due to a wardrobe malfunction I missed all of the Saturday AM workshops. I was so looking forward to seeing Jed and Gordon working together. Ah well.
That said, the amazing music, voices, comraderie and general feeling of "This is good" once again made me very happy and very tired. This is the only chance I have to spend time with KT and Janie and Tink. Did my heart good to see Severn cherishing the revolting peacock (It's a peahen!) which has been replaced by a pumpkin shaped lobster and a yodelling pickle. Jed is such a joy to watch. He is so generous with his time and music. The man plays a banjo as if he is in love with it. To see Kendall bringing an audience to tears - WOW. Colin and Rose, Dan Shahhhhhtz, Elizabeth Laprelle, the Mummers (sorry, Barry Finn is still my favorite princess)MMMMMMario - it has been so long and your concert performance was brilliant. Time spent with FSGW people I only see at the Getaway - BillD aka Stickman, Judy Cook, Carly, Charlie, Janet, Janice, Jennifer - all my friends from the year of the blow up costumes. My beautiful Micca, Chance and Suzette, Linda, Tink...and so on and so on.Mick, St. Mick who endures all our foolishness and still sings long and loud. I heard Hard Times as I drifted off to sleep.Edmund and Charmion, ClaireBear who is a first class navigator, Jeri with the patience of a saint as I hallucinated the man in the passenger seat window,. I miss Mary and Barry and Dick with his hurdy-gurdy. I miss Theresa of the Shellbacks. I consider myself so lucky to be able to be among friends each year.
Thank you all.
Good people; good times; crappy eggs.
