I don't know what ether smells like... It was an adhesive or solvent smell but particularly strong. Running the fan in bathroom helped to clear it. No eye or nasal irritant or taste in mouth effects which are repportedly attendant in meth labs.   I am remembering a light tapping hammering for several hours going on either next door or upstairs a couple of weeks ago, like tiles being removed. The odour has not recurred this week.
