Now, it's my understanding that here in the US, we use the "English System of Measurement" and I was under the impression that the UK was metric. I've been watching the wonderful BBC "Coast" television series, and they use non-metric terms like "miles" and "feet" and such. What's the practice? What are the units of measurement that are used in the UK?
