My dreams have visions of you now, dear muse,
For you are beautiful: How can I keep
From dreaming of your eyes? My heart could lose
All sense of time, within your gaze: I weep
To know I will not hold you. Shall I dare
To say how sweet your smile seems, or reveal
How much I want to run fingers through hair?
That muse is such a vision my fates seal.
I would that I might touch your cheek, and see
If you are real: Though known mortal, you seem
From higher plane. I cannot dare to free
My soul to love, in case you are but dream.
Your eyes capture my heart, and I am bound:
