Country Meets Folk - of which I have quite a few recordings - was mainly recorded at the Playhouse Theatre near Charing Cross Station. Whilst there may be some in the BBC Archives - these will most likely have been thrown out by the BBC long ago, and any chance surviving copies have to remain in private hands even if they are deemed to be a treasure trove. My own projects with restoring recordings of surviving versions of Folk Song Cellar and Folkweave and Folk on Two and Country Meets Folk have been brought to a grinding halt. And due to the vociferous comments from some self-appointed steward of the folk scene I am now seriously considering junking the whole lot of my thousands of hours of tapes just as the BBC has done.
