Sonnet 16/01/01                        DXXVIII

I could not write if I did not care so,
About you: Your words reach my soul, and hold
A part of me long lost. But can I show
With words what your words share? Without, I've cold
Imaginings. You are my muse, to send
Such whispers in the night. I would not trade
The thought of you for gold, nor would I end
My vision: Dare I show dreams hope has made?
You are my muse, and yet, I dare not claim
More than few words, and smile: You have not sent
Enough of heart to let my verses name
You more. Must all dreams of you remain pent?
I cannot offer more than heart and soul:
Can you see future where I might play role?
