Thread Name: BS: turning back clocks
Subject: RE: BS: turning back clocks
I just counted. My small home has 11 clocks in it. (Why did the manufacturer put a clock in the CD player?)

We have useful clocks and antique clocks and portable clocks (watches) and bedside clocks. There's a useless Golden Hour clock, which doesn't keep time but is kept for purposes of ancestor worship because it has family connections.

Reminds me of the song by Alaska Mike:

Spring up, fall back
all around my little shack.
tumty tumty tumty tock
There's another stupid clock.

Recently a piano tuner was here and he asked me if I had a pair of scissors. I looked at him incredulously. I wanted to say " Do I have a pair of scissors?? but then realized that he doesn't know I sew, craft and cook.

Later we made a mental count, and we have 24 pairs of scissors, each one different.
