You do understand, I trust, that squirrels don't actually remember the places they've squirreled away their nuts? They are simply good at knowing where a squirrel is likely to have hidden a nut, and clever enough to look there when they are feeling peckish.

So this means you could be getting an old nut for Christmas. Or maybe it means that you are an old nut ... or that I am, I'm not quite sure which.

Oh, pardon me, but I must dash ... time to chitter at an odd pesky bird or two who are troubling my tree. Cheerio!
