Busy day, a lot of it online. I moved brush to the curb, and I cleaned out the fridge so there will be some tempting trash that I'll put in the metal can, not just a trash bag at the curb.

I'm switching my diet this week to a kind of half and half Scarsdale and Dr. Weil. Weil doesn't dictate what you eat each day, he suggests numbers of types of servings per week. So I'll plan my meals around the fruit and veggies I have here, and add the meat and occasional starches or other carbs as I go, and let the Scarsdale schedule suggest which ones. It's more interesting this way, and that helps keep me on the diet.

For the past several days I've been looking at computers both in a store I like and online. And I did a lot of the math. Some things are so easy to add into a computer that there's no point buying it from the factory. I see good sales for DVD burners every week, for example, so I'll get the one that comes with the computer and add the extra one later. Computers come with a video card, and the computers I leaned toward had a slower card than I wanted. They're expensive enough that I wouldn't like to spend a lot for a new card and set aside an otherwise perfectly good card. So I upgraded to the card I wanted and it costs less that way in the long run. With this comparison shopping I was able to essentially rebuild the one I liked at the store and for the same price get a couple of good upgrades. The store as a 1Tb hard drive, the online computer has a 750Gb hard drive. I bought a 1Tb hard drive for $69 a few weeks ago, and I'll do that again and add it to the second bay in the computer, use that for the music and scanning I need to do. But it doesn't need to happen right now, I can wait for a sale. I built a version of this.

So it's on order, needs to be built, it'll be a while. And that's all I'll say for now. The bonus this year is going to pay for it. I should be able to get a lot more work done and do it a lot faster. As it is now, by the end of the day I'm having to turn off the computer and reboot to get the cache room I need.

Laundry is almost finished. I've been poking benedryl down the pit bull three times a day for the allergic reaction and she's looking much better this afternoon. The catahoula is now limping. It's always something!

Busy week coming up. How about for the rest of you?
