Thread Name: Help & Healing Request
Subject: RE: Help & Healing Request
BeauD, My prayers go out to you. There is nothing that makes one feel more helpless than to have a sick loved one that you can't (physically) do anything about. I remember being told my mother was dying and declaring, "No God, you can't take my mother away and that's all there is to it." And shortly after that, being at the funeral home and saying "Well I guess you can if you want to." Prayer is a powerful tool. If it's God's will, I hope you r mother recovers fully. If not, I hope your family can bear it. Please remember that it's your loss, not hers that you're grieving. It's the last thing you want to hear now, but when she's in God's hands, her suffering will be over. I hate giving unsolicited advice, but I would use however much time you have left with her to the fullest. Visit with her as often as your life will allow. Don't leave anything to regret. I had had a good relationship with mymother for about the last 6 months of her life, but before that, I wasn't exactly the ideal son. I put her thru hell, and if I hadn't had the opportunity to make things right , I don't know if I could have taken her loss.
