Thread Name: Nose flutes - who's making decent ones?
Subject: RE: Nose flutes - who's making decent ones?
First one I ever saw anywhere was made by an old fellow who lived in a stilted house on the flood plane of the Ohio River in Evansville, Indiana. He had made it out of a turtle shell, and if you could get past the stench of it, it sounded about as good as the HUMANITONE nose flute I played for years.

This month, November 2010, I bought ten new Humanitone nose flutes from Elderly Instruments (store) in Lansing, Michigan. I'm giving them to our 4 grandchildren and their parents for Christmas---in hopes of starting a new family band.
