The whole thing was there, SRS, the trouble was we couldn't even get the PC to reboot. F2, F10, CTRL F8, nothing worked. So, we finally shut it down for the night, not knowing if we'd be able to recover anything. I am glad Rog knows what he is doing and was able to figure out it was the video card.

I have rearranged it all, with Morgan's help. I had the The HD now sits on a low step stool, wooden, beside me under the window, kind of, with the printer on top of it. The CD drive, USB ports, etc. are within easy reach. This allowed me to bring the tape player and scanner up closer to the front of the typing table, so they are now easier to reach. We also put a low, wire mesh shelf, free-standing on the floor beside the HD on which I have a box of CDs which need to be uploaded onto the external HD which also sits on that low shelf, along with the thing I put the camera stick in to upload photos.

The clutter from on top of my desk was gone through and organised better. It now all sits within an antique copper tray which gives it a more uniform, less-cluttered look. It holds a cup of pens, pencils, and scissors; a tape dispenser, a small vintage plant pot with paper clips in it, a neat little memo paper holder my daughter made , kind of like a napkin holder in which I have scrap memo paper, my pick comb for my hair as I comb it out at my desk after washing it, and a small 6" ruler. I also have a neat keepsake box my sister sent me from Alaska in which I keep a few things. Now, if I want to "clear the decks" all I have to do is pick up the tray and whisk it away!:-)

The only other things on the top of my desk, now, are a small speaker, my date book which is always open to the current week, with a pen for making notes in it, and a small standing ceramic teddy bear with a big purple bow and he's holding a purple heart which has Morgan's smiling face looking out from the picture it frames. He gave it to me for Christmas last year, from the "store" they had at school.

I have not written, yet, today, but I am not worried about it. I think I will watch something on netflix to occupy my mind and relax a little bit.
