Made a quick trip to the post office then was going to go get my ham for Thursday. The truck did a funny little noise in the garage when I started it, and it was more pronounced when I started it again at the post office. So I drove straight to Sears without stopping again. It's warm today, and I had the bad battery warning under relatively civilized conditions. They replaced it, prorating about 25% of the original cost, and I'm set for the cold weather later in the week (that would have killed this battery dead, that's why I acted today.)

I have my ham, and I picked up 2 cases (4 bottles each) of the sparkling Martinelli cider that we love for the holidays. I'm moving living room furniture tonight, and working on getting those boxes of playbills out of here. And I'm sincerely thinking about turning over 2 antique tables I use a lot and taking off those hard antique little wheels that make them wobble all of the time. I could add sliders then for moving and not have the wiggle problem any time someone cuts their meat. :)
