Thanks, Michelle. He turned seven on the 14th when they were away due to his dad's step-dad passing away a couple of days before that.

Your simple Christmas sounds wonderful and reminds me of the song, Simple Gifts. I've been doing more minimalist decorating as the years go by. This year, I think we will use the Norfolk Island pine which sits in the middle of the big picture window in the LR. I have tiny lights we can put on it and a few lightweight ornaments. Morgan and I will put a few other special things around the house, but not much.

I am past the 30,000 words mark, today. We had a nice day other than having to go out when it was too darn cold this evening to let the grand-dogs out to pee.

My brother did come over and the three of us had a good time. Rog's turkey was very good and, except for too thin of crust, the pie we cut into, today, was perfect. It was leftover crust from the deeper dish one which I am saving for Morgan, so I hope that one will have more crust on the bottom. I always roll it out too thin, it seems, but at least the pumpkin was deliciouso!

Talked with my boys back East and my dau., as well as my sisters in WY. Left a message for bet in Alaska...she was out to dinner at her son's. It's funny to go to facebook to find out where one's errant sibling might be that day. Did the same thing with Rog's. LOL...our son called earlier in the week as he expected to be snowed in with not great tires and no four-wheel drive. Good news, though, after a year on unemployment, he starts a brand-new job, in his field, on Monday! That is really something to be gratefull for!

All the food is put away. I am going to write a bit more and then help Rog with his shower and go to bed with a book I want to finish tonight.
